The Trainee makes his first call on VHF Radio (144 MHz, above and below left). CQ CQ CQ This is GM4GRC, Golf Mike Four Golf Romeo Charlie calling CQ and standing by for any calls.

A station returns the call, and some personal details are exchanged, Name, QTH, (Location) and a signal report. A short QSO (Conversation) is carried out, and it is time to move on. Best 73 (Best wishes) are passed and the contact details are entered in the Log book. A new friend has been made, and another part of the training course is over.

Candidates above with smiles all round, and this is during the course. So it can not be all that bad. Come along and give it a try.
